The Dinghy Doctor develops its own line of tenders
The Dinghy Doctor of San Diego long regarded as a great service center and dealership of inflatable boats, has now released “Taurus” Ribs and “Fiji” inflatables. Both brands include quality refinements and materials
chosen after years of repair experience. “For Taurus we chose only the
best; Orca Hypalon from France, handles and rubrail from Italy and we
use the strongest seam construction techniques” says Brian Wagnon of
the Dinghy Doctor. “I wanted to use aluminum for many of the hulls to take advantage of that
materials strength to weight ratio, though we offer many in fiberglass for those who prefer a more traditional rib”. Taurus ribs are available from $1995 for a 9ft open rib up to $18,000 for a fully
rigged 14ft deluxe tender. The “Fiji” line was developed as an economical alternative to the boats offered at the big box stores. “With Fiji, we can offer a boat at internet pricing but with a
confidence you can only get by dealing face to face. Since we have done every type of repair
imaginable to inflatable boats, our customers can feel more comfortable knowing we can service what we sell.”

Gambol Industries Provides Full Service for All Vessel Types

Gambol Industries, a full-service boatyard located in Long Beach, was
founded in 1992 and began as a yacht manufacturer, Since that time,
Gambol has developed into Long Beach’s premier boat and ship yard.
The company’s facility covers approximately 100,000 square feet, along with a 120-foot-long concrete pier and 320 feet of floating docks. For haulouts, Gambol currently uses its 30-ton crane and its 300-plus-ton FastLift to haul vessels as
large as 40 feet wide and 150 feet long.
The FastLift gently protects vessels as they are lifted on wheeled cradles from underneath. They are then rolled into the yard via these wheeled cradles.
